After an 11-4 record during non-conference play, BYU will open WCC play Saturday night as an 18-point favorite over LMU. KenPom gives BYU a 93% chance to win and predicts a 77-61 final score.
LMU is 7-8 on the year and won its WCC opener Thursday versus San Diego. LMU is one of the youngest teams in the nation and has struggled to find much consistency. They have only two players that average more than 7 ppg, led by 16 ppg from 6-foot-6, 245 lbs guard Eli Scott. Scott leads the Lions in points, rebounds and assists. He is a very physical guard that lives in the paint.
BYU is riding its longest wining streak of the season — five games — and will look to extend it to six before next Thursday’s matchup at Saint Mary’s.
BYU-LMU tip off at 7pm MST on BYUtv in the Marriott Center.
