BYU Checks in at #14 in AP Top 25 Poll, #13 in Coaches Poll

NCAA Football: Southern California at Brigham Young Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

BYU came in at number 15 in week 6 of the AP Top 25 and jumped two spots to number 13 in the latest Coaches Poll after beating UTSA yesterday 27-20.

**Update** A pollster inadvertently left BYU off of his poll — the AP Poll updated his late submission and BYU moved up to 14 in the AP Top 25 Poll.

BYU has now been ranked five consecutive weeks, a new high during the Independence era.

The fourth win of the season didn’t have quite the style points that the previous three wins had, and the Cougars will have some things to fix on a short week with a game at Houston on Friday night.

The game was originally scheduled to be played in Provo, but due to travel issues for the University of Houston, BYU will now be the visiting team.

BYU is 4-0 for the first time since 2014, with a chance to have its first 5-0 start since 2008. The game will be broadcast on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. MST.
