BYU moved up in the national rankings again, this time to number 12 in the AP Poll and 11 in the Coaches Poll.

Even though BYU passed its biggest test of the season up to date, teams ranked 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 didn’t play this weekend, making it hard for BYU to move up further in the polls than they did.

The sky is the limit for this team, and ESPN FPI is giving BYU the highest probability of finishing the year undefeated at 48.8%. Clemson is second at 42.3% and Ohio State third at 38%.

With game number five in the books, as it stands, the season has hit its midway point. Of its five remaining games, just one of those will be on the road—a Friday night showdown in Boise on Nov. 6.

Yesterday, BYU announced approximately 6,000 fans will be in attendance Saturday night for the game against Texas State. Cougar fans have been anxious to see what appears to be the best BYU team in at least a decade play in person, and this week they’ll get their chance. Kick is set for 8:15 p.m. MDT and will be broadcast on ESPN.
