BYU kicks off at 8:15 pm MT Halloween night, so you have all day to watch past and future BYU opponents. The Houston and Boise State games are the two games to keep an eye on.
UTSA (4-3) at Florida Atlantic (1-1)
Kickoff: 10:00 am MT
TV: None
Spread: FAU -4
UTSA snapped a 3-game skid last week with a 1-point win over FAU. They’ll look to move to 5 wins as an underdog versus FAU.
UCF (3-2) at Houston (2-1)
Kickoff: 12:00 pm MT
TV: ESPN Plus
Spread: UCF -3
BYU would get a boost here if Houston can win. UCF is bit down this season, but they have an explosive offense and are one of the top teams in the AAC. If Houston can pull the upset, they’ll have some momentum before next week’s game at #7 Cincinnati.
Troy (3-2) at Arkansas State (3-3)
Kickoff: 1:00 pm MT
TV: ESPN3
Spread: Arkansas State -3
Troy is coming off a narrow 2-point loss versus Georgia State. Arkansas State has an early-season win over #16 Kansas State, but has been up and down this year.
UAB (4-2) at Louisiana Tech (3-3)
Kickoff: 1:30 pm MT
TV: None
Spread: UAB -13
Louisiana Tech has lost back-to-back games and is a big underdog to a solid UAB squad.
#25 Boise State (1-0) at Air Force (1-1)
Kickoff: 4:00 pm MT
TV: CBSSN
Spread: Boise State -14
This game looked a lot tougher for Boise State a few weeks ago after Air Force throttled Navy, but star Air Force QB Donald Hammond III transferred just before the start of Air Force’s MWC opener versus San Jose State. The Falcon offense wasn’t the same in their 17-6 loss to the Spartans. BYU really needs Boise State to win here in order to set up a potential Top 25 showdown.
Navy (3-3) at #22 SMU (5-1)
Kickoff: 5:30 pm MT
TV: ESPN2
Spread: SMU -12.5
Navy sits at 3-1 in the AAC and can put themselves among the top tier in the conference with an upset here. SMU has a potent offense and will be tough to stop, but an upset by the Midshipmen would be nice for BYU.
Louisiana (4-1) at Texas State (1-6)
Kickoff: 6:00 pm MT
TV: ESPNU
Spread: Lousiana -17
The Ragin’ Cajuns are one of the top G5 teams this year with a road win over Iowa State and some time spent in the top 25. Texas State has played every game close this year outside of BYU, but they’ll be hard pressed to pull an upset here.
San Diego State (1-0) at Utah State (0-1)
Kickoff: 7:30 pm MT
TV: CBSSN
Spread: SDSU -8.5
The Aztecs took care of business last week in a 34-6 win over UNLV. The Aggies, meanwhile, struggled in their 42-13 blowout loss to Boise State. If Utah State plays like they did last week then SDSU should roll in this one.
