Top 10!

After another blowout win, BYU continues to move up the polls. BYU moved to #9 in the Coaches Poll (up from 10) and #9 in the AP Poll (up from 11). Boise State moved to #21, setting up a top 25 showdown on the blue turf Friday night. This is BYU’s highest AP poll ranking since BYU soared to #7 before the Florida State game in 2009 (let’s hope this Boise State game goes better than that one).

BYU is 7-0 for the fourth time in program history and the first time since 2001. BYU has never won at Boise, with close losses coming the last two matchups. BYU lost 28-27 in 2016 and and 21-16 in 2018. The 2018 matchup was Wilson’s third career start, and he nearly led BYU to an upset win until Boise State stuffed BYU at the two-yard line on the game’s last play. Wilson was of course committed to Boise State until changing his mind at the last minute and signing with BYU right before the early signing period.

BYU-Boise State kickoff Friday night at 7:45 pm MT on FS1.
