BYU Reveals Uniform Combo for Boise State Game

NCAA Football: Brigham Young at Navy Scott Taetsch-USA TODAY Sports

For the second time this season, BYU Equipment announced via Twitter that the team will be wearing the all white uniforms with royal trim when they take on Boise State this Friday night at Albertson Stadium.

BYU has fared well when playing in this uni combo. The combo’s first appearance came in a dominate 42-14 win over Utah State last year up in Logan and then again in a 55-3 route of Navy to open up this season.

Boise State hasn’t announced which uniform combo they’ll be wearing this week, but history suggests it’ll be their all blue look. Boise State has worn blue tops and bottoms every time they’ve played BYU in Boise dating back to the 2004 season, with the exception of 2014 when they wore gray tops and bottoms.

If you’re the superstitious type, the players’ decision to wear the white on white with royal trim should help manage some of the anxiety many fans will be experiencing the next few days. The stage has been set for what may be BYU’s biggest game in almost 20 years. Kickoff will be at 7:45 p.m. MST on FS1.
