After a 14-point win over San Diego State Saturday night, BYU remained steady at 14 in the AP Top 25 Poll and 16 in the Coaches Poll. BYU passed Miami but was leapfrogged by USC. Coastal Carolina went from 11 to 9.
BYU sits at 10-1 and awaits its bowl destination, barring a last-minute scheduled game on Saturday. Kalani did say in the postgame presser that BYU is open to scheduling another game on the 19th, but it would probably have to be a P5 type opponent for BYU to be interested. The Pac 12 announced its additional games for Saturday, so BYU could potentially fill a spot there if a game were to fall through due to COVID.
BYU is looking to finish the season ranked in the AP Top 25 poll for the first time since 2009 when the Cougars finished ranked 12 after a season-ending Las Vegas Bowl win over Oregon State. The last time BYU finished ranked in the Coaches Poll was when they finished 25 after a last-minute bowl win over Tulsa.
