Jake Oldroyd was named one of three finalists for the Lou Groza award, which is given annually to the nation’s top kicker. Jose Borregales of Miami (FL) and Will Reichard of Alabama are the other two finalists.

Oldroyd finished the regular season 13-for-13 on field goals, the most by an FBS kicker without a miss this season. He has 3 kicks of 50+ yards and is 53-55 on extra points. He is fourth nationally in PAT makes and 8th nationally in points scored this season. Despite most of BYU’s scoring opportunities resulting in touchdowns, Oldroyd has made the most of his chances. Jake would be the first ever BYU player to win the award.

BYU fans can help Oldroyd win the award. Fans can visit www.lougrozaaward.com/20finalists and cast a vote for Jake. The finalist who receives the most fan votes will be given one vote on the final ballot.

The winner will be announced Monday, January 4.
