Zach Wilson wasn’t one of the four Heisman Trophy finalists, but he did get a top 10 finish. Wilson finished 8th in Heisman voting, BYU’s first top 10 finisher since Ty Detmer in 1991.
The 4 Heisman finalists are Florida QB Kyle Trask, Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence, and Alabama players Mac Jones and DeVonta Smith. The winner will be announced Tuesday, January 5.
Below are the 5-10 standings.

Zach Wilson had a prolific season, finishing with 3,692 yards, 33 passing TDs, 3 interceptions and a BYU record 73.5% completion percentage. He also ran for 254 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Wilson is a junior and hasn’t officially announced his intentions for next season, but he is expected to declare for the NFL Draft. Some pundits predict he could go as high as the 2nd pick, right behind Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence.
We may be biased and think Zach should have finished higher, but congrats to him on a great season!
