BYU gave it a good run, but Georgetown transfer Mac McClung ultimately picked Texas Tech over BYU and a host of other schools.

BYU was one of seven final schools announced last week, but the Red Raiders pulled ahead and never relinquished their lead for McClung.

BYU is still involved with a number of transfers, with ETSU point guard Daivien Williamson as the most prominent of the current targets. BYU is one of five final schools involved for Williamson. If BYU doesn’t land Williamson, the Cougars will be active to land at least one more point guard during this transfer cycle. Based on previous targets, BYU is looking to add a point guard has multiple years of eligibility remaining. Sources close to the program have told Vanquish the Foe that BYU is looking to fill two scholarship spots.

Players can begin voluntary workouts beginning June 1 and Summer term begins June 23, so coaches will likely look to finalize the roster before the start of Summer term in order to have everyone on campus well before Fall semester begins.
