The schedule news keeps rolling in for BYU.
Another opponent appears to be lined up as Texas State beat reporter Keff Ciardello of the Austin Statesman is reporting that Texas State will play at BYU in 2020. Keff is reporting that it is a buy game, which means BYU would paying the Bobcats to come to Provo and won’t return the game.
Hearing #TXST-#BYU is a done deal. Should be a pay game for the Bobcats. All I know for now. https://t.co/EKp54RA9QJ

No details of dates have been announced or reported. BYU currently has five games on its schedule for this year, three of which are in September. Texas State has openings Sept. 12, Oct. 13 and Oct. 24, which are all open for BYU as well.
Texas State is a member of the Sun Belt Conference and is a coming off a 3-9 season. Their last winning season was in 2014, so this should be an easy game for BYU where lots of guys get playing time.
Prior to coming to BYU, OL Coach Eric Mateos held the same position at Texas State from 2017-2018.
BYU would be up to six games on the schedule with the addition of Texas State:
- Sept. 7 - at Navy
- Sept. 19 - at Army
- Sept. 26 - vs. Troy
- Oct. 16 - vs. Houston
- Nov. 21 - v.s North Alabama
- TBD- vs Texas State
