BYU has officially added the 7th and 8th games to its 2020 schedule with the additions of Texas State and University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). The UTSA game is 10/10 and Texas State 10/24. Both games are in Provo are were widely reported last week.

BYU is not done adding games and is expected to have a 10-12 game schedule. The press release stated “kickoff times and broadcast plans will be announced at a later date, as will additional games as they are finalized.” One rumor that has picked up steam is that BYU will play UCF November 7. UCF is ranked #21 in the preseason AP Poll. A game versus UCF and one more against a solid AAC team would put some more juice into BYU’s schedule and give them a prominent opponent that could carry wait if BYU were in a position for a NY6 bowl at year’s end.
Current open dates on BYU’s schedule are 9/12 (which will likely be a bye since BYU is playing 9/7), 10/2 or 10/3 (10/3 is General Conference weekend), 11/7, 11/14, 11/28, and 12/5.
BYU’s official 8-game schedule is below.
- Sept. 7 - at Navy
- Sept. 19 - at Army
- Sept. 26 - vs. Troy
- Oct. 10 - vs UTSA
- Oct. 16 - vs. Houston
- Oct. 24 - vs Texas State
- Oct. 31 - vs Western Kentucky
- Nov. 21 - vs North Alabama
