I’ve watched this guy work and grow for years, and I promise he’s going to be something special!
Proud of you bro, @BYUbasketball is lucky to have you!✊ pic.twitter.com/GcZhTtzRv5
Wahlin also had offers from Arizona State, San Diego State, New Mexico, San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, Nevada, and Dixie State. He is the 3rd best prospect in the state of Utah according to 247’s composite ratings and the top prospect outside of Wasatch Academy.
Wahlin is a 6-foot-7 SF/PF who does a lot of his damage off the bounce and moves well for a guy his size. He has nice handles and is a good finisher around the basket who can finish above the rim or at different angles. Wahlin likely projects as a wing player at BYU who adds length on the perimeter. Wahlin will need to put on a little more weight to consistently compete at the Division One level, but he has the size and skill set to eventually be a starter for BYU.
Wahlin is expected to go on a LDS before enrolling at BYU and will be back for the 2023 season.
