All you afternoon kickoff time folks are going to be happy.
BYU announced Monday morning that the UTSA matchup on Saturday, October 10 will kickoff at 1:30 PM MDT and air on ESPN2. This will be BYU’s first afternoon kickoff of the season.

One thing to watch is if fans will be allowed to attend. Due to new Utah COVID guidelines, BYU is not allowed to have fans at LES until October 6, after which there will be a re-evaluation. If Provo moves down from an orange (moderate) to yellow (low) designation, then fans will be able to attend the UTSA. BYU initially planned for 6,000 fans versus Troy, which would likely be the same amount for UTSA.
Houston
BYU’s game at Houston on Friday, October 16 also had an update. The game will be broadcast on ESPN — it was originally scheduled to air on ESPN2. The game will stay at its originally scheduled time at 7:30 PM MDT.

Every one of BYU’s games has either aired on ESPN or ESPN2. With no other western teams playing, BYU has been rewarded with additional exposure through the first two months of the season.
