After signing with Las Vegas Raiders during NFL Draft weekend and joining their practice squad, former BYU tight end Matt Bushman is set to make his NFL debut.
The Raiders announced Saturday afternoon that they have elevated Bushman to their 53-man roster, replacing TE Nick Bowers. The Raiders take on the Philadelphia Eagles tomorrow afternoon at at 4:05 ET.
We have placed TE Nick Bowers on the Reserve/Injured list.

The Raiders already have star tight end Darren Waller, but Bushman will get a chance to make his NFL debut. NFL teams release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to kickoff, where only 46 of the 53 players can be active and dressed. If Bushman isn’t on that inactive list then he will make his NFL debut.
Bushman led BYU in receiving yards every season from 2017-2019 before missing his senior year in 2020 with a torn Achilles. The Raiders obviously think he’s recovered enough to be on the 53-man roster.
Good luck to Matt versus the Eagles!
