BYU Re-Enters AP Poll at #25

NCAA Football: Brigham Young at Washington State James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

After a one week hiatus in the AP Top 25 Poll, BYU cracked the poll once again at number 25. BYU beat Washington State in Pullman to move to 6-2 on the season. BYU is narrowly outside the Coaches Poll at number 26.

This is the 5th week that BYU has been ranked this season. BYU entered the poll after the win over Utah and rose as high as number 10 after the win over Utah State moved them to 5-0.

Virginia is no slouch of their own and received votes after their 6-2 start. The Hoos are coming off a home win over Georgia Tech and have one of the best passing offenses in the nation, directed by former BYU offensive coordinator Robert Anae. QB Brennan Armstrong has thrown for 3,220 yards and 23 TDs and 6 picks.

BYU-UVA will kick off at 8:15 pm MT on ESPN2 at LaVell Edwards Stadium. BYU is expected to wear their royal helmets for the second time this season since they debuted them in the season opener versus Arizona.
