Virginia is in the midst of a 4-game winning streak after dropping games to Wake Forest and North Carolina. Virginia boasts one of the nation’s top passing offenses at over 400 yards a game but a suspect defense, not typical of a Bronco Mendenhall coached team.
QB Brennan Armstrong leads the nation in passing yards with 3,220 to go along with 23 TDs and 6 interceptions. Saturday night versus Georgia Tech he also ran for 99 yards and 2 TDs, so he can beat you on the ground too.
Virginia has been gashed on defense this year, ranking 113 in rushing defense — giving up 198 ypg — and 105th in total defense. Tyler Allgeier is coming off a 191 rushing performance and is top 10 nationally in rushing yards, so he will need to have a huge game is BYU is to come out on top.
BYU-Virginia will kick off 8:15pm MT Saturday night on ESPN2.
