BYU Releases Depth Chart For Boise State Game, Gives Injury Updates

NCAA Football: Boise State at Brigham Young Gabe Mayberry-USA TODAY Sports

BYU released its depth chart for the Boise State game and didn’t change much from last week despite multiple injuries lingering.

BYU has the same QBs listed as it has all season — Jaren Hall, Baylor Romney, and Jacob Conover with no “or” in between them.

“They’re all in contention to play this Saturday,” Kalani Sitake said Monday. “Everyone is still available to play.”

Kalani was unsurprisingly mum on injury updates as to not tip off Boise State to anything. The Broncos will likely prepare for three quarterbacks this week. My guess is that Baylor Romney is the least likely to play of the three after his apparent concussion and that Jaren or Jacob will get the start.

The one change on the offensive depth chart is that Joe Tukuafu was listed above Connor Pay at right guard after Pay got the start at center in place of James Empey. Empey and right tackle Harris LaChance both missed Utah State with injuries and Kalani didn’t give any details on their status.

The only other change on the depth chart was that kicker Jake Oldroyd no longer has an “or” between him and Justen Smith. The Utah State game was the second game that Oldroyd has played in this season.

BYU has had guys listed as starters on the depth chart that ended up not playing, so we likely won’t know many more injury updates until shortly before kickoff.
