#10 BYU will welcome Boise State into Provo Saturday afternoon in front of a sold out crowd. The Broncos are off to a 2-3 start, but could easily be 4-1 at this point and have lost to good teams. BYU’s QB situation is the number one question heading into the game, as Jaren Hall and Baylor Romney are both facing injury concerns. If they are unable to go, freshman Jacob Conover will get his first career start. Conover is a former 4-star prospect and got his first career action in the second half last game versus Utah State

Lines and Odds

After opening as a 2.5-point favorite, BYU is up to a 5.5 or 6-point favorite as of this writing, depending on where you look. The over/under for the game is set at 57.5. BYU’s QB uncertainty is playing into this line, as it would likely be higher if Jaren Hall or Baylor Romney were healthy. Regardless, Boise State has a capable passing game to cover the spread or even pull the upset.

Sagarin

The Sagarin rankings are still on the lower end for BYU but they’ve started to come around. BYU is 24 in the rankings after opening the year at 95. Boise State is number 50. Factoring home field advantage, they favor BYU by 6 points.

Billingsley

The Billingsley rankings still love BYU, ranking the Cougars at 6. They had BYU at 8 to start the season. They have Boise State at 48 and favor BYU by 13 points.

ESPN

ESPN’s FPI rankings have BYU at 47 and BSU at 68. They give BYU a 65% win probability. As of now the two games BYU is an underdog in according to FPI are Baylor and USC.
