BYU got some good news on the injury front as Kalani Sitake announced that Jaren Hall will start at QB after missing the past two games. He will be backed up by Jacob Conover. Baylor Romney is unavailable after suffering a concussion versus Utah State.
Kalani Sitake in our pregame interview, on the QB situation v. BSU: “Jaren Hall will be our starter today and be backed up by Jacob Conover, and our third quarterback will be Sol-Jay Maiava…Baylor (Romney) is not able to go this weekend, hopefully we get him back next week.”

Starting center James Empey is also back after missing last game. Right tackle Harris LaChance will miss his second straight game. Fullback Masen Wake will also be out.
Boise State, meanwhile, will be without multiple starters as they continue to be decimated by injuries. Starting running back George Holani and both starting cornerbacks will miss the game, along with multiple other guys.
Boise State will be without starting center Kekaniokoa Holomalia-Gonzalez for the 6th straight game...

The Broncos will also be without starting CBs Markel Reed and Tyric LeBeauf...
Garrett Curran, George Holani and CT Thomas also out.
Garrett Curran is one of their starting offensive tackles and was preseason All-MWC, while CT Thomas is one of their top wide receivers.
Boise being without both starting cornerbacks is a huge blow to them, as many didn’t expect both to miss this game. Jaren Hall’s effectiveness is to be determined, but the wide receivers could have some space to work with.
