BYU opens the season with a Labor Day weekend game versus Pac 12 foe Arizona at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The game was initially scheduled for a Thursday but will now be on Saturday.
BYU has 7 Power 5 opponents — 5 from the Pac 12, 1 ACC team, and 1 Big 12 team — 4 G5 opponents in Boise State, Utah State, South Florida, Georgia Southern and FCS foe Idaho State. The schedule is one of the most balanced in the independence era with P5 opponents scheduled in all three months.
BYU won’t play a true road game until they travel to Logan to play Utah State on General Conference weekend. One of the more intriguing games on the schedule is when former head coach Bronco Mendenhall and his Virginia staff come to Provo October 23. Utah comes to Provo Saturday, September 11 when BYU will look to snap a 9-game losing streak in the rivalry.
BYU begins the 2021 season when spring ball officially kicks off Monday, March 1.
