BYU Basketball Enters AP Top 25 Poll Ranked #23

BYU is a 6 seed in the big dance and now they enter the tournament as a AP top 25 team for the first time this season. The AP released its latest poll Monday morning and BYU checked in at number 23. BYU was just outside the last two polls at number 26.

BYU is 20-6 on the season and was also ranked 23 on the committee’s S-curve. BYU has 8 Quad 1/Quad 2 wins and 0 Quad 3/Quad 4 losses on the season. This is the second year in a row BYU is ranked in the AP Top 25 after a 9-year drought; BYU rose to as high as number 15 in last year’s poll.

BYU will make its NCAA Tournament debut Saturday night versus the winner of Michigan-State UCLA. The game will be broadcast on CBS at 7:40pm MT from Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. We previewed both teams here to give a look of what BYU could expect in their first round matchup.
