BYU offensive lineman Tristen Hoge will be protecting Zach Wilson as the New York Jets signed the versatile offensive lineman.

Hoge had an eventful college football career but had dominant flashes when healthy. Hoge was the #1 center in the 2015 recruiting class and signed with Notre Dame. After spending two seasons at Notre Dame he transferred to BYU. Hoge was a guard during his time at BYU and started each game when healthy. He started all 13 games in the 2018 season and played 13 games total the next two seasons combined. He missed some time in 2020 and after contracting COVID-19 and pneumonia.

Hoge is a native of Pocatello, Idaho and the nephew of former Pittsburgh Steelers running back and ESPN analyst Merril Hoge. Hoge is 6-foot-5, 310 pounds and can absolutely make a NFL roster if he stays healthy. He’ll now get a chance to block for his college QB Zach Wilson in New York.
