Nice addition for BYU.

BYU Men’s Hoops will travel to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to play a neutral site game versus Creighton Saturday, December 11.

“We’re thrilled to be able to face Creighton in a big-time, non-conference matchup,” Mark Pope said in the official release. “Coach McDermott does an incredible job with that program, and their resume speaks for itself. This should be a great challenge for our team and an absolute blast for Cougar Nation. BYU vs. Creighton – let’s go!”

Creighton is a Big East member and finished the season 22-9. They advanced to the Sweet 16 before falling to Gonzaga. BYU-Creighton last played in the 2016 NIT semifinals where the Cougars won 88-82 in Provo.

Creighton loses their top two players in All-Big East players Marcus Zegarowski and Damien Jefferson and all five starters. They are traditionally a good basketball program, so I expect them to be a solid team once again.

So far, we know BYU has games lined up in the Diamond Head classic and against San Diego State, Utah State, Utah, Weber State, UVU, and likely Iona. Sources have also told me that BYU is close to finalizing a game at Oregon, who is potentially a top 10 team. BYU has other games they will also add.
