The Bears could be the preseason favorite in the Missouri Valley Conference and a possible Quad One game for BYU. Last season MSU finished 17-7 and number 88 in KenPom — 5 of their 7 losses were to NCAA Tournament teams Drake and Loyola Chicago.
Missouri State returns two high level players in First-Team All-Conference players Isaiah Mosley and Gaige Prim. Mosley is a 6-foot-5 wing that averaged 20 points a game and Prim is a 6-foot-8 big that averaged 17 points and 9 boards per game. This is a true road game, so Missouri State needs to be top 75 in the NET rankings for it to be a Quad One game, which they very well could be. At a minimum it should be a Quad Two game.
BYU’s non-conference schedule is nearly complete and so far looks like this:

- Cleveland State — Nov 9
- SDSU — Nov 12
- Texas Southern — Nov 24
- Utah State

- Iona — Coach Rick Pitino said in March this would be in Madison Square Garden, but this could be pushed back a year.
