BYU Ends 9-Game Skid, Beats Utah

NCAA Football: Utah at Brigham Young Jeffrey Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!

One day after being invited to the Big 12, BYU snapped a 9-game losing streak and beat Utah 26-17 Saturday night in Provo.

BYU’s defense played outstanding and Jaren Hall made clutch plays in key situations as BYU led the game from start to finish after taking a 3-0 lead.

Jaren Hall was 18/30 for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns to go along with 92 rushing yards. Hall made some key third down conversions, including a fourth down conversion with his legs.

BYU dominated the line of scrimmage, with over 35 minutes time of possession compared to Utah’s 24. BYU also created two early turnovers and didn’t turn the ball over the whole night. Third down was also big, as BYU was 11-19 compared to Utah’s 2-9.

What a freaking night for BYU. Utah has been the huge monkey on BYU’s back for over a decade and BYU can have bragging rights until the next game in 2024.
