After a 2-0 start and two wins over Pac-12 teams, BYU entered both Top 25 polls at #23 in the AP Poll and Coaches Poll.
BYU spent all of last season ranked after the opening win over Navy and finished the season at 11. BYU has now been ranked at some point in three of the past four seasons.
Next week’s opponent, Arizona State, is ranked 19 in the AP Poll after a 2-0 start. The Sun Devils are the third straight Pac-12 South opponent for BYU. This will be ASU’s first road game of the season after a pair of wins over SUU and UNLV. ASU was picked to finish third in the Pac-12 South behind USC and Utah.
BYU-ASU will kickoff at 8:15pm MST on ESPN. BYU’s win over Utah was the first sellout since 2017, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see another sellout Saturday. LaVell Edwards Stadium should be rocking following the Utah win and the optimism around the program following the Big 12 invite.
