BYU was a 13.5-point favorite over Arizona and 24-point favorite over USF, but didn’t cover versus either team and ended up winning both games by 8 points. The USF matchup was the first BYU game this year that hit the over.
Utah is 3-1 on the season after losing 27-3 to Boise State Saturday morning in Logan. USU has already exceeded expectations, with an upset road win at Utah State and wins over North Dakota and Air Force. The Aggies overcame a double digit deficit in each of their three wins.
Utah State has juggled QBs, shuffling between Arkansas State transfer Logan Bonner — who is more of a pocket passer — and dual-threat QB Andrew Peasley. Senior wideout Deven Thompkins is the main guy to watch, who is third in the nation with 514 receiving yards.
BYU-Utah State will kickoff Friday night at 7:00 MT on CBS Sports Network.
