BYU landed a huge commitment as 2022 4-Star WR Cody Hagen from Corner Canyon HS (Draper, Utah) committed to BYU. BYU was in his final four along with Stanford, USC, and Utah.
I want to thank all my coaches, family, trainers, and especially the BYU staff for believing in me before anyone else. With that being said… I am 100% Committed!! #GoCougs pic.twitter.com/cHG7QVwABz

In addition to the above schools, Hagen also had offers from Michigan, Oregon, Vanderbilt, Washington State, Arizona, and many others. He is rated a 4-star recruit by 247 Sports ranking and the number 6 overall rated recruit in the state of Utah from the 2022 class.
BYU was the first school to offer Hagen and he broke out after a huge junior season in 2020. He finished the year with 55 receptions for 1183 yards and 18 touchdowns. Through just 7 games this season he already has 906 receiving yards with 44 receptions and 8 touchdowns.
Stanford was considered the favorite and USC was a strong contender with Jaxson Dart, Hagen’s QB last year at Corner Canyon. Hagen attended the BYU-Utah game on September 11, and BYU’s strong start and Big 12 exclusion this month no doubt played part in swaying Hagen to BYU. Utah was also considered a contender since Cody’s dad played WR at Utah for a bit.
At 6-foot-1, Hagen is a dynamic receiver who brings speed and crisp route running. He clocked a 10.52 in the 100 meters earlier this year and has loads of big plays down the field where he constantly outruns the defense. Hagen has all the ability to be a #1 wide receiver for BYU and an All-Conference player in the Big 12 (wow that feels good to write).
Hagen is BYU’s 16th commitment in the 2022 class and the first 4-star recruit BYU has landed this class. He intends to first serve a mission before joining BYU for the 2022 season.
