After two comfortable wins versus mid-major competition, BYU moved from 18 to 17 in the latest AP Top 25 poll released Monday. Six Big 12 teams are ranked in the top 20, headlined by Kansas at 2 and Houston at 3.

BYU is 10-1 on the season with two non-conference games remaining versus Bellarmine and Wyoming. BYU leads the nation with a 27.9 point differential per game, which has factored into BYU being favored by analytics. As of Monday morning, BYU sits at 4 in the NET and 5 in KenPom. BYU’s best win is a Quad one win over San Diego State and other wins include a Quad two win over NC State and a neutral court win versus Arizona State.

UC Irvine transfer Dawson Baker made his season debut versus Georgia State on Friday, and I expect his minutes to increase these last two non-conference games to get him more acclimated into the rotation. Freshman Marcus Adams Jr is eligible and began practicing late last week for the first time this season; I anticipate he’ll make his season debut Friday versus Bellarmine.
