BYU stumbled in the latest AP Top 25 Poll after the loss to Cincinnati but remained ranked at 18. BYU is 12-2 on the year and ranked 4 in NET and 9 in KenPom. Cincinnati moved to 25 in NET after the BYU win, making them a Quad 1 loss.

BYU hits the road twice this week, beginning with a top 25 matchup at #14 Baylor on Tuesday and then heading to Orlando Saturday to face off versus UCF. The Bears are 12-2 on the year and won their Big 12 opener on the road at Oklahoma State in overtime. The Bears will have the best guard line BYU has faced up to this point and lead the nation in 3-point shooting percentage at 45%. ESPN has Baylor’s 2 star freshmen — guard Ja’Kobe Walter and big man Yves Missi — in the top 20 of the 2024 NBA draft rankings.

UCF, meanwhile, got off to a rocky start in Big 12 play with a 77-52 road loss at Kansas State. UCF hosts Kansas Wednesday before BYU travels to Orlando.
