BYU starts conference play with a tough matchup on the road versus Saint Mary's. The Gaels have 11 wins already this season including a victory over Stanford, but have yet to travel very far from home. The Cougars will have to overcome the Gaels' strong home court advantage if they want to come away from Moraga with a win.
As a team Saint Mary's leads the country in field goal percentage at 53.8 percent. The Gaels are led by an impressive sophomore and junior guard tandem in Emmett Naar and Joe Rahon. Naar averages 14.2 points, 6.7 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game and is shooting over 60 percent from beyond the arc. Rahon averages 10.7 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. The Gaels also get a near double-double average from junior forward Dane Pineau.
