BYU basketball’s 2018-19 season will officially begin late at night in the weirdest biggest little city to cap a day full of basketball and elections.
BYU will tip off at Nevada at 9 p.m. MT on Tuesday, Nov. 6, according to a schedule released by the Mountain West. The game will be carried on CBS Sports Network.
The game opens the regular season after the Cougars face Saint Martin’s and Westminster in exhibitions. BYU gets a stiff test to open the season with a Wolf Pack squad coming off a Sweet 16 appearance and returning many key players and new, impact transfers.
The MWC release also revealed time and TV for the following BYU road games:
- Saturday, Dec. 15: at UNLV, 6:30 p.m. MT, ESPNEWS or ESPN3
- Saturday, Dec. 22: at San Diego State, 5 p.m. MT, CBSSN
The release also revealed the Weber State/Utah State portion of the Dec. 8 Beehive Classic will air on AT&T Sports Network (ROOT) but TV plans for the BYU/Utah portion has yet to be announced.
After the opener in Reno, BYU returns to Provo for six straight home games.
