*Sources confirmed to Vanquish The Foe that BYU scheduled a Division 2 team to round out its schedule, in part to ensure Yoeli Childs will be back for the Utah game. That game will likely be on the Saturday after BYU gets back from Maui. According the scheduling website Basketball Travelers, BYU assistant Cody Fueger had been looking to fill the last non-conference game on either 11/30 or 12/21, the two dates that Weber State and the D2 game are likely to be on.
The WCC released its full conference slate Tuesday morning, which can be viewed here. BYU and Gonzaga first square off January 18 in Spokane in a Saturday showdown. The return game in Provo is scheduled for BYU’s Senior Night on Saturday, February 22. BYU will travel to St Mary’s January 9 and welcome the Gaels to Provo 2/1.
