BYU picked second in 2014-15 WCC preseason coaches poll

The West Coast Conference held its basketball Tip Off event Monday, where the BYU men's and women's basketball teams were voted second by coaches in the conference's preseason polls.

MEN

The men's poll (first place votes):

1. Gonzaga (11)
2. BYU (1)
3. Saint Mary's
4. San Francisco
5. San Diego
6. Portland
7. Pepperdine
8. Santa Clara
9. Loyola Marymount
10. Pacific

Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team, so BYU's first-place vote most likely came from Gonzaga's Mark Few.

Preseason Team

Tyler Haws and Kyle Collinsworth were voted to the preseason all-conference team.

Others on the team: Kevin Pangos and Przemek Karnowski (Gonzaga), Brad Waldow (Saint Mary's), Kruize Pinkins (San Francisco), Thomas van der Mars (Portland), Johnny Dee (San Diego), Jared Brownridge (Santa Clara), Stacy Davis (Pepperdine).
