Despite no official schedule release, we now know how BYU's basketball season will begin.

One day after Utah Valley announced a season opener at BYU, ESPN released tip-times for its annual 24-hour Tip-Off Marathon.

In the last few weeks, smart people spotted a BYU game on the schedule Long Beach State has on its site. ESPN confirmed the matchup Tuesday. BYU is slated to visit the 49ers with game time Mon., Nov. 16 at 11:45 p.m. MT (or Tues., Nov. 17 at 1:45 a.m. for our ET friends).

That game will come after BYU opens with Utah Valley at home on Fri., Nov. 13.

BYU and Long Beach State opened the regular season last year. The Cougars came away victorious 95-90 in an up-and-down shootout.

BYU is the only WCC team in the marathon field this season, which also features in-state rival Utah. The Cougars' last appearance in the tip-off  event was a marathon all its own, with BYU outlasting Stanford 112-103 on the road in 2013.
