BYU Football Recruiting: 3-star OL Brock Gunderson signs with Cougars

An offensive lineman from Texas makes his commitment to BYU official.

Two months after committing to BYU, a 3-star offensive lineman from Texas made that official by signing with the Cougars on Wednesday during the first day of the early signing period for the 2019 football recruiting class.

Brock Gunderson, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound lineman, signed his letter of intent.

Gunderson is rated 83.19 on 247’s composite rating. He tweeted at the time of his commitment in October that he will first serve a mission before playing at BYU.

Gunderson’s other scholarship offers included Purdue, Utah State, Army, Air Force, North Texas, UTEP, New Mexico and UNLV.

He also plays for his basketball team at Cy Woods High School (Cypress, Texas). That athleticism and agility is evident on film. He consistently gets to the second level of the defense and moves guys off the ball to open up holes in the running game.

Gunderson usually played offensive tackle his senior season. You can see his highlights in the video below:
