BYU has produced seven All-America quarterbacks; Virgil Carter, Gifford Nielsen, Jim McMahon, Steve Young, Robbie Bosco, Tye Detmer, and Steve Sarkisian. Becoming an All-America player, especially at the quarterback position, doesn't just happen. BYU quarterbacks understand that they need to be on the same page as the other eleven guys on the field, in addition to playing at an elevated level. It takes being in sync with each other, and when that happens, so do special seasons. Taysom Hill could be the next All-America player at BYU if he, and the rest of the offense, can create an unstoppable connection like the other seven All-America quarterbacks who have gone before him.
