Last season the Cougars hosted the Boise State Broncos and became the first team from Utah to beat them with a score of 37-20. The defense came up big on key plays that stalled the Broncos' attempts to advance the ball and forced 4 turnovers. Offensively, the Cougars were also efficient as they gained 568 total yards. Taysom Hill had a much improved game to boot. He threw for 339 yards with a 66 percent completion and had 3 touchdowns. He also rushed for 69 yards. This could be a model game for Hill in 2014. 66 percent completion on the season would be a dramatic improvement and if he can average 330+ passing yards per game, then he will be in the range of 4,300 passing yards on the season.
