This season BYU has a favorable schedule and there is no good reason for the Cougars to not go bowling. Of the twelve games on the schedule, there are seven that should be easy wins for the Cougars. Of course anything can happen, remember Michigan lost to Appalachian State in 2007, and that is why they play the game.
GAMES BYU SHOULD WIN
TEAM | DATE | LOCATION |
UConn | August 29 | East Hartford, Connecticut |
Virginia | September 20 | Provo, Utah |
Nevada | October 18 | Provo, Utah |
Middle Tennessee | November 1 | Murfreesboro, Tennessee |
UNLV | November 15 | Provo, Utah |
Savannah State | November 22 | Provo, Utah |
California | November 29 | Berkeley, California |
There are no games on the schedule that look like automatic losses. Texas is the highest profile team on the schedule, but as of right now it is simply too early to anticipate how good they will be this season and first year under Charlie Strong. The remaining five games on BYU's schedule are all winnable. The general consensus of both fans and local media members indicate that anything less than a ten-win regular season will be disappointing.
