BYU football recruiting: 2015 OL J.J. Nwigwe commits to BYU

After visiting Provo over the weekend, the big Texas lineman announced his decision.

J.J. Nwigwe, an offensive line prospect from Rockwall, Texas, committed to BYU on Monday night following his official visit over the weekend.

Nwigwe (which I believe is pronounced "WIG-wee") is a 6-foot-4, 260 pound lineman. He is a two-star recruit with a 247Sports composite rating of .7533. Nwigwe had offers from SMU, BYU, Nevada, and New Mexico State.

Nwigwe is considered an under-recruited prospect, a talented lineman who didn't receive any offers until June of last year. BYU and SMU both offered him in early December, and he was believed to be leaning toward SMU before his visit to Provo.

As you can see in his highlights below, Nwigwe is powerful enough to stand his ground and agile enough to get out and plow the road in the run game. He is expected to play guard in college.
