Kimane Domena, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound athlete out of Roosevelt High School in Portland, Oregon, is going to sign at Snow College according to The Oregonian.
Domena originally committed to BYU back in March 2014, but he re-opened his commitment shortly after due to an alleged lack of communication from BYU.
Interestingly, it appears Domena's derailed path to BYU is academic-based. From The Oregonian article:
Roosevelt coach Christian Swain said Snow College is a good place for Domena to get on track academically. Domena plans to move to Ephraim this week and attend a local high school, where he'll graduate.
With a 247Sports Composite rating of .8331, Domena is a three-star prospect and the fifth-highest ranked recruit out of the state of Oregon. Domena also had scholarship offers from Colorado State and Portland State. Arizona, Clemson, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, and Washington State were also showing interest.
Domena is an impressive athlete and perhaps ends up at BYU after his stint at Snow. It doesn't seem clear if Domena is set to play quarterback at Snow (Alex Kuresa is off to Portland State) or plays somewhere else. It seemed he was on track to play somewhere other than QB if he ended up at BYU.
Here are Domena's highlights:
