It seems like its been ages since we found out BYU would be playing in the 2013 Fight Hunger Bowl. In fact, Tom Holmoe accepted the Cougars' invitation to play in the Fight Hunger Bowl all the way back in October following a BYU's win over Boise State. Today we finally know which team they will be facing in San Francisco's AT&T Park.
Kyle Bonagura first broke the news that the Washington Huskies had accepted their invitation to face the Cougars on December 27th.

BYU confirmed the news a little while later:

According to the poll we took yesterday in our potential bowl opponents preview, BYU fans got the match-up they wanted in the Huskies. Washington finished the year 8-4 with wins over Arizona, Boise State, Cal, Colorado, Idaho State, Illinois, Oregon State, and Washington State.
The Huskies are led by junior running back, Bishop Sankey who rushed for 1775 yards and 18 touchdowns in the regular season. Sankey will test a BYU defense that has seemed a more vulnerable to the run in the second half of the season. Sankey will likely be playing in his last game for the Huskies as the junior is expected to declare for the NFL Draft following this season.
With Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian leaving to take the USC head coaching job, quarterbacks coach Marques Tuiasosopo will act as interim coach for the Huskies in the bowl game. Boise State's Chris Petersen has already been hired to take over as Washington's head coach next season.
