The Holy War has returned. The Utes and Cougars will go to battle on the football field for the first time since September 21, 2013. The Utes and Cougars have had 89 previous meetings, but this will be the first time the two teams have played each other in the postseason.
The 20th-ranked Utes pose a difficult challenge for the Cougars, but Utah will be without its best offensive player and Maxwell award semifinalist, Devontae Booker due to injury. The Utes offense has struggled to score since losing Booker, but their stout defense gives them a chance in any game. Utah also has recent history on its side having won 11 of its last 12 bowl games and the last four matchups with BYU.
