Sione Finau of Kearns High School in Utah is the latest to sign with the BYU Cougars on National Signing Day.
Finau is a three-star prospect across the major scouting services (82.33 composite rating on 247 Sports), and originally committed to Oregon State. His main recruiter was Ilaisa Tuiaki, who became BYU's defensive coordinator after Finau's commitment to the Beavers.

Finau also had an offer from Nevada, along with interest from Utah and Utah State. The 5-10, 170 pound running back is ranked as the 104th ranked running back, and the 22nd best player from the state of Utah.
Where Sione immediately fits in with BYU isn't clear, as the Cougars will likely lean on Washington State transfer Squally Canada, Alge Brown and Francis Bernard as starters with 2015 signee Charles West hopefully in the mix, as well as Jamaal Williams, presumably.
It's likely Finau switches to defense and plays cornerback or safety for Tuiaki's defense.
