Thursday, October 2 at 7:00 PM the Cougars will be on the prowl as they face off against the University of Utah in a rivalry matchup.  Tickets to the game are $6.00 or $3.00 with a student ID.

About the game

BYU is 0-2 on the season.  Utah State is 0-4.  Something has got to give in this matchup.

The Cougars have had struggles getting out of the gate.  In 1st period this season, BYU has surrendered 9 goals to their 1 goal.  However, they have rallied in the 2nd and 3rd periods playing their opponents to 5-4 (barring empty netters).

BYU's Axel Boyer has led the team thus far scoring 3 goals on the year, but beyond putting the puck into the net he has helped set the tone with his physical style of play on the ice.  He will look to continue his momentum.  As an added bonus for the Cougars, their captain, Chris Tuttle returns from his injured broken foot to make his season debut and is looking to make the difference for the Cougars.

Coming off a strong 2013-14 campaign, Utah State has its own challenges this season.  The Aggies have 10 newcomers on their team.  They come into Provo having dropped back-to-back matches against Montana Tech by the score of 4-2 and 4-3.

Both teams are hungry to get into the win column.  This is going to be a good one!
